Peak ground acceleration is the maximum shaking intensity parameter in geophysics. To prevent big loss of infrastructure, dam site or multistorey buildings as well power project due to any seismic hazard, it essential mitigate damages. Seismic hazard analysis for peak was carried out hydropower Gilgit Baltistan effect hazard. Seismicity and tectonic map drawn distribution events.Study region divided into seven source zones rectify risk reduction assessmement region. Regression freqeuncy magnitude also using seismicity catalogue. Three distinct motion equations were used predict value g with their return period. The actitvity rate done determine contribution. Maximum credible earhquake, operational based earthquake design detremined. According ICOLD policy, values Phandar hydro 0.59g earthquake, basis 0.311g 0.231g foroperational 475 years period at 50% probability exceedence. Spectral 0.1s, 0.2s, 0.5s, 1s 2s computed horizontal vertical components. spectral accleeration varied from 0.19g 1.250g 0.019g 0.700g 0.050g 0.480g earthquake. results reveal that ensure safety level reliability level, earthquakes can be utilized.
